Angie Lazaro started pursuing fashion, as a career, in the late 80s. The real world of fashion in South Africa, at the time, under sanctions, was lack luster and unfulfilling. Angie set her sights to studying further at Rhodes University in Grahamastown. She loved being a student, and stayed to complete her Photojournalism Masters degree from the Department of Journalism and Media Studies. Flitting between being a writer and a Business Editor, she took a leap and went into Photography, starting off as a photographic assistant at Media24. She became senior photographer at Fairlady Magazine and, later, for Top Billing Magazine. The need to push her creativity has propelled her to investigate the possibility of studying while working as a freelance photographer. She is currently enrolled for a Bachelor of Visual Arts degree with Unisa.
